I bought a full Arcan set for around $22 a few months ago, and it has a really nice plastic case that the sockets come in. They have a LOT of oil on them, and this set might, too, but they seem to be good sockets to work with.

It seems like the sales are never on the metric sets.

Because that's what eveyone wants. With most Japanese cars ... metric is what you need. Again, I second comments from above... I do own Arcan (metric) and they do work great! Impacts ... the good ones though are Molybdenum based instead of Vanadium based (this one is).

Most autos are metric these days, not just Japanese. Those days are long gone. The American manufacturers have mixed SAE and metric, but more often than not, the metric sizes are the first and last to be used.

With that said, this isn't really a good deal, but I guess if one is the Harbor Freight torque wrench lugnut warrior type, this would fit the bill just fine.

I paired the metric deep socket version with my Ryobi impact wrench on my friend's Fiat Abarth to replace the suspension. Worked great.

No, until you run into space/depth issues. Then yes.

Thanks, I have the set from the op and a dewalt
impact wrench, but it seems I'm missing a nut or something to connect both.

Thanks. deep ones seem a little harder to control but for the occasional use not an issue.

These are chrome vanadium (cr-v) like regular silver sockets and not chrome molybdenum (cr-mo) like you'll find with almost every good impact socket set. Harbor freight has an inexpensive set of chrome molybdenum sockets I'd suggest over these if you're on a budget. Regular silver chrome vanadium sockets are strong, but brittle. They can develop sharp longitudinal cracks in between impacts and slice the thenar web between your thumb and index finger if used on impact drivers before you ever see it. Chrome molybdenum is softer, and isn't as likely develop these sharp cracks.

I used to work for a USA based tool company that produced impact sockets.
