$6 isn't enough. I'm going to swap over to pennzoil. They still have their $10 dollar rebate and the price at Walmart is cheaper than Mobil 1

Because many rebates don't end up getting claimed or used which means some people accidentally pay full price when they intended to get the rebate.

That makes zero sense. If you know you are good to go 10k, just do am oil change every other rotation. Anything less is just silly. As you say the oil is just fine because you had it tested.

Hell with M1 and their silly rebates and product naming. I've switched to Kirkland full synthetic and it's half the price when they offer instant rebates.

Lab data is excellent.

Same here. Once my M1 is used up, I have my 4 jugs of Kirkland ready to go. I see no reason to NOT switch at this point since I don't have to mess with any rebates and i just consider the savings going towards my Costco membership.

Anyone have the link to the rebate? I didn't see it on the Mobil 1 promo page?
And I've been doing these online rebates for years and never had an issue.
With the rebate this is actually a good value for high quality oil.

I have never had any issues with Mobil rebates. Last year I even double-dipped into Mobil + AAP rebates.

Back in January, it came out to be around $16 for a 5 Quart jug. Not bad, not great, but I don't have to mess with any rebates, so that is a big deal to me.

Last week I bought 2 - 10 qt packs of 5W-30 (ie 2 - 5qt jugs per carton). After $6 instant rebate it came out to $60 total. That's $15 per jug of full synthetic.

M1 at Walmart is close to $30/5qt. jug.

Kirkland full synthetic, Amazon Basics and Walmart Super Tech are all the same full synthetic oil from Warren distribution. Kirkland is the best buy. There's no data suggesting this oil is inferior to M1. It exceeds all the latest API standards.

10k synthetic oil is very common these days with the cert gaurantee.. just buy the cheapest of the bunch.

The Mobil 1 rebate site notes "*Offer valid on five (5) 1qt bottles or one (1) 5qt jug". Do we know from past rebates that they will allow the six 1qt bottle cases from Costco or Sam's to qualify?
