$6 isn't enough. I'm going to swap over to pennzoil. They still have their $10 dollar rebate and the price at Walmart is cheaper than Mobil 1

Because many rebates don't end up getting claimed or used which means some people accidentally pay full price when they intended to get the rebate.

Let me help you out a little bit seeing you don't seem to know how the justice system works. When you sue someone then you have a case number. Showing a picture of a check means NOTHING.

Give me the case number where you filed it or go back to playing Xbox .

I'm buying this from Amazon. I'm gonna extract some oil out. I'm betting, the next 4 oil changes with the damn dealer, they are going to overfill my brand new car again. How do I sue these aholes.

You must prove damages for lawsuit. Unless they are investigating oil consumption the best you can do is refuse to take the car back until it is resolved. Then check the level before your next change to see if any has been consumed. Then if you do have oil consumption issue, be sure to record yourself checking oil level on their property before taking possession of the car. Then you can request warranty repair for oil consumption issue. If they decline it, sue in small claims court. You can settle most of the time if you don't want to fight them.

Oil consumption is a MECHANICAL (design) ISSUE not an oil type or brand issue.

Let me ask you this question: how long is warranty period and why are dealers notorious for overfilling when checking for oil consumption issues?

My friends car burns 1.5qt per 6k at 45k after he had oil changes done by the dealer at recommended 10k intervals. I did two oil changes for him and found that.

I've also sued my car manufacturer and won some thousands of dollars.

But speaking of "my logic". Engine doesn't go into junkyard for burning oil. You just add more oil. Obtain clue. "

Someone mentioned car dealers always overfill. Yea what the hell is wrong with the dealers? I have a brand new toyota camry with less than 1000 miles in my garage right now and it is overfilled by at least 1/2qt. I'm too lazy to get some out but I think I should.
Damn these ahole dealers.
Why would a dealer ADD oil to a new car? That's likely how it came from the factory. Just drive it, it's fine.

The 2 dots usually indicate a quart, that is way less then half a quart

Part of pre-purchase inspection. I don't think factory put oil into the car then ship it to dealers. Anyway, not my first car and not my first experience with dealers overfilling. I'm sure they're going to overfill your car as well if you take it to the dealer for oil change.

Why people think auto manufacturers want you to destroy their engines is beyond me.

The manufacturer DOESN'T PAY FOR THE OIL so why wouldn't they error on the safe side.
Manufacturer does not care about consumers at all. Car manufacturer in USA cares about:
1. CAFE compliance.
2. Car makes through its warranty (powertrain).
3. Low maintenance cost (as a selling point).

Based on above, car manufacturer:
1. makes cars with flimsy engines that run on on water thick oil paired with CVT (crappy vehicle transmission) to meet CAFE requirements.
2. tells you to change oil every 10K miles (to keep maintenance cost down), and the best, LIFE TIME ATF.

Go away. You obviously have no clue how the auto industry works.

Let me ask you a simple question?

How many Millions of cars are sold every year? How many manufacturers say no problem with 10k oil changes?

So by your logic I should see at least hundreds of thousands of bad engines in the junk yard. I also should see just as many lawsuits from customers who were lied to by those manufacturers.

Yet I see NONE. Maybe you can list a few .

Look do what you want it's your money. Can I assume you also change all fluids at half the recommended intervals. Obviously they must be lying about those also.
Just an example, infamous Honda's J37 engines excessive oil consumption class action settlement.

That has NOTHING to do with recommended oil changes or the brand of oil used. Those are mechanical or design programs.

I love these Mobil1 rebates as I only use extended performance in my Infiniti G. Last time, advance auto had $10 in-store gift card rebate and Mobil1 extended had $15 on top of that. Oil and filter came out to be under $18 for me. that was sweet. it took about 6 weeks for me to receive the rebates.
Last time (last year) my M1 oil+filter from AAP after AAP rebate + Mobil1 rebate + AAP Speedperks + Shell gas discount + cashback came to about cost of sales tax.
I quote myself rom last years thread:

I did Advance Auto way too. Theoretically my final price will be closer to $2.
I bought 5 qts of Extended Performance and M1 oil filter for 42.99 + tax = $46.16
Potential savings:
$2.30 - 5% cashback at Discover through Paypal
$0.86 ~ $1.72 - 2~4 % cashback at cashback sites (already got credit)
$10 - Speedperks* (already got coupon for 10 off 10 @ Advance Auto)
$6 - Shell gas savings** (already got coupon 40 cents off per gallon, up to 20 gal.)
$15 - AA gift card through AA + M1 rebate offer
$10 - AA gift card through M1 offer.

* Advance Auto Speedperks calculations are confusing to me. Every $50 spent at AA you get $5 coupon. But, if you use their Speedperks calculator, $75 spent will earn you $10. Some products have bonus points. Mobil1 oil deal gives double points.

** AA (+Shell) has promotion till July 20: Get 20 cents off gallon per $50 spent. Once again, I do not know how AA calculates that. I got 40 cents and I did not spent $100 at AA this year. Shell gas prices where I live are same as competition. YMMV.

Nowadays cars consume oil right from dealers lot and they say that it is norm. So, I would not worry about extra 0.5~1.0 qt of oil in your engine. It will burn. Extra 0.5~1.0 qt will NOT cause any damage to an engine. Don't worry about it.

The Car Care Nut is pretty respectful mechanic (and youtuber). I don't agree with him 100% of the time, but in this video I agree with him 100%. Nowadays engines (across the board, not just Toyota) are underbuilt to satisfy CAFE requirements. You have to change your car oil frequently despite of manufacturer's recommendations.
