FAQ's:
- No, you cannot use Staples GC's to purchase these.
- No, these do not count towards your spend requirements for a premier membership.
- No, these do not earn you any Staples rewards.
- No, you cannot use coupons/ rewards to purchase these GC's.
- Yes, you can split payment between multiple cards (if your cashier permits it) YMMV
- The limit of 8 may or may not be enforced depending on your store/ cashier. YMMV
- Why is this a deal? Some members have CC's that earn 5% CB at office supply stores (INK and Amex Simply Cash). Others need to meet minimum CC spend.
- What if my store doesn't accept payment with a CC? Your store likely has had issues with fraud and it is managers discretion on what payment they will accept.
- Other chase cards may have special offers for Staples ($ limited). Check your chase account under chase offers.

Please do not thumbs-down deals just because it is a service or product that you can't personally use.

For these reasons, deals like this one are very valuable for some people.

I purchased these for many years without issue. A few months ago I had one declined 3x, frozen and then immediately after being unfrozen was emptied by a company that, "coincidentally," has a business relationship with Blackhawk. Said company acknowledged that they were in receipt of stolen funds and that I was the rightful owner, but failed to refund me. The CEO, who had initially promised to give my money back, blocked me on LinkedIn when I followed up. I had to file a police report, chargeback, etc. to make things right. That one experience was enough to sour me on these for life.

You can't withdraw cash, but they can be used for money orders (Western Union allows it, but business that acts as WU agent may not so YMMV). Not sure if you can use them in Cash app.
