im getting an access denied when trying to visit their website, similar to how it happened right before they got hacked last month

is anyone else able to access WD directly?

Same here, still works from the cell though.
Now with my recent experience with WD store.. Should I trust WD products any more? Looks like they struggle finding their ass using both upper limbs these days.

For those with Access Denied - are you guys using a VPN? Various web sites block VPN IPs for some reason. I am not using VPN and was able to access WD directly from my PC no problem.

For me, access went back and forth a few times. No VPN.
I bet WD servers either crap out on too many load requests (as in 2 pages open at the same time = DOS attack!!!111) or simply can't manage the load.
One would hope that IT shortcomings are limited to sales, and do not involve firmware or production management... Maybe hopefully?

Picked up the 4TB when it was this price last time and it is pretty fantastic in a PS5. Can't tell a difference between it and the built in storage.
