Alienware is their gaming line.
But at the same time, I could get a better processor Samsung for around 800 without any coupons.

I also wouldn't get a 14" if you can avoid it. The thin small chassis is gonna run hot no matter who makes it.

The G9 has both SSD and RAM replaceable, it comes with 3-year warranty. The newer G10 has RAM soldered, I think.
All of the above have their own strengths and weaknesses, but this XPS is super solid with no flex whatsoever. The overall build quality is excellent and looks and feels very premium and well made. Contrary to some of the earlier posts, it doesn't run hot at all and the fan is very quiet. Having said that, Dell did have an optional BIOS update a few months ago, which seemed to activate the fan much earlier than it used to; a subsequent BIOS update, which I think was released about a month later, seemed to reverse the change, so the fan is now back to normal.
It is a gorgeous laptop, is super thin and is feather light. The battery life is absolutely superb, at least for a Windows laptop (the Macbook Pro's battery life is incredible, but that's a different operating system and no touchscreen).
I have two minor complaints, which I knew I'd have when I bought it. First, it has two USB-C ports and nothing else. It ships with adapters, but it's obviously not quite the same as having built-in ports. I can't even remember the last time that I wanted to use the headphone jack on a laptop, so it's not a factor for me, but others may be different.
Second, opening it takes a little getting used to, as there's no notch on the lid. You get used to it very quickly, but is something to be mindful of. I was recently flying with it, and the TSA wanted to inspect it. The TSA agent wasn't used to a laptop without a notch and had trouble opening it.
I have seen posts about soldered RAM. Personally, I do not open up my laptops, so I couldn't care less about that. Besides, all ultra portables have soldered components, but it's something to keep in mind.
The U vs. P processor comparisons that I've seen in this thread are quite misleading. In practical terms, P processors not only consume more energy (meaning that your battery life suffers), but don't necessarily result in better performance, as they run hotter and are more likely to result in throttling. So, a laptop with a P processor that throttles won't perform better (and may perform worse) than a laptop with a U processor that doesn't throttle. Regardless, for me, the amount of RAM tends to be by far the biggest constraint, which is the reason that I went with 32gb; even without throttling concerns, processor differences just wouldn't make any difference.

Where do you get the email code? I signed up for the email, been a subscriber for a long time, but never got the code. Also subscribed a new email as well and did not find the 10% code.
