These are super thin denim. Fine for summer or warm climate.

However, after about 2 washes they look completely faded. Not sure I'll wear them again. Glad I only paid $20 last January.

Even at that price I don't recommend them.

This color looks so weird for jeans. Quite hard to pair up with many shirt colors. Good price though

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like Levi's has factories that make slightly cheaper alternatives (inferior products) aside from their signature items, particularly for the large online retailers and wholesalers, like Amazon, Costco, etc.

Did you try to wash on delicate?

This is likely the case, but the price it's worth the gamble- they even have my size which is rare. I'll give it a try and in for one.

Very good chance these are counterfeits. I bought 511 a long time ago off Amazon and they were clearly knock offs.

The ones I got last sale were pretty nice, sequoia color. Obviously the 1% spandex versions of their jeans are going to be less durable, they're designed for comfort and style. If you want more durable jeans that you need to wash 10,000 times before they fit, look for 100% cotton.

I tried these. The color is like the picture, a little yellowy/orange. It's a good color as long as you match it.

The fit was terrible. First, these are very stretchy, which would be fine if they actually fit, but the waist was WAY too large.

Agree with m00tknife's comments about durability. These are not working jeans.

OMG!!! They borrowed the wonky-knee model from Nordstorm Rack. Half the pants at Nordstorm Rack is modeled by this guy and I get distracted by the way his knee/leg bends backwards.

Ok, I'll bite. What's weird about the color? It looks like a standard denim. Then again most of my jeans lately have been either a very dark or light denim, black, or gray.

For what it's worth...

I've been wearing Levi 511 for the last 20 years of my life. I have about 10 pairs of them and I have yet to need to throw out a pair. Sure, some of the older ones are my "around the yard" jeans, but not a single pair has fallen apart or shredded.

Maybe it's like another poster said, maybe they have a cheaper version they sell on Amazon, Costco etc, but my 511s have been amazing.

Now I'm not buying these but only because of the obscure sizes left....
