Is this 2GB of data per month or for the whole year? I am not a heavy data user, but don't want to be suck with 2GB total for the whole year. 2GB per month is decent and assuming they cut off data as oppose charging for more.

Wasn't there a Boost mobile $10/month plan for more data? And I dont think you have to pay 12 months up-front. Looking to switch my mom xfinity mobile as w/ tax and fees it's about $17/month for 1gb data. She's mostly on wifi but need talk unlimited.
looking for a cheap plan for my 13 year old. has mint done a buy 6, get 6 free since they've been bought by Tmobile? wondering if that is dead now
I don't think they have - but normally it happened late summer thru fall.
Honestly buy the cheapest plan possible that offers unlimited call and text no matter how many gig of data - your kid is gonna burn thru the data no matter what just by nature of being a kid/teen. If you truly want them to have data then pony up for the cheapest unlimited. You can hop on a mint plan monthly which is a better deal than this anyways assuming your kid doesnt need the international calling.

Ultra mobile seems to use T-Mobile network, Mint mobile also uses T-Mobile.
Mint is $15 for 5gb, they regularly offer holiday sales including buy 6 months get 6 months free. So technically can buy year of Mint at $90 (+taxes).
Offer seems solid if you call people regularly outside North America.
