The only thing I hate about Shark vacuums is the cords are terrible. They always get all twisted up. I've had2 have split open on me to expose the wires. And they were not covered under warranty. Just slapped some electrical tape on them and called it a day.

manual: https://support.sharkclean.co.uk/...201215.pdf

So even if you laid the vacuum flat, which older vacuums could do not sure if this one can, the canister would be too bulky to fit under platform beds. Once you lift the handle away the pole does not attach to the carpet head (designed to only work with attachments) so no, there actually would not be a way to vacuum under platform beds (or even most beds).

iz a problem
Look at pics 3-5 in the listing. If you can't make that work, don't buy it.

So this has two different beater bars? one for carpet and one for floor?

is there anything that needs to be replaced often? I am mainly looking for floor cleaning

Don't get defensive. I asked a question because it looked like some owners were in this thread, you gave a non-informed answer. Just don't say anything next time if u don't know

None of the attachments are useful to vacuum under a bed.

What kind of person argues on the internet about whether a vacuum can work under a bed? Look at the pics and if that doesn't work for you, don't buy it! Your original question wasn't addressed to owners, it was to the general public of which I'm a member. End of discussion from me.

Ffs, has nothing to do w the vacuum and everything to do with a person answering a question to which they have zero idea.

What if the pole passed power to the head and it could slide under the bed?

What if the vacuum can swing totally flat and go under a bed if it was tall enough?

None of that is in the pics. So I ask. Then I found the manual to see, oh it won't work. That's normal.

Dude coming in to be like "yeah it'll work" is the problem. It sucks u don't know how to just say sorry I effed up. Super easy and adult thing to do

End of discussion from me

Dang, I paid 219 for this back in November.
It's a great vacuum, really enjoy pretty much every aspect of it.
Might have to go buy one and return it from the old receipt.
In case you bought it from the store, I believe there is also the option of simply requesting a price-adjust in-store.

It's 30 days from purchase, so his wouldn't apply.

I just pulled the trigger on the stratos from kohls and I love the vacuum. This one looks about the same minus powered lift away and the air freshener and I think this has a less powerful motor. But it's half the price I just paid for the stratos. I can't see this being a bad deal. Anyone on the fence, pull the trigger!

Using one for nearly 3 years and love it. 5/5 suction power and 5/5 easy to clean. No hair entangling on the roller, simple procedure taking apart and cleaning the filters. Noise level I would rate 4/5.
Normal price around $200 and this is no brainer. I'm ordering one as backup.
Thanks OP!

Does this thing really not get clogged up with long woman hair?
I used to love vacuuming before I lived with my wife and her hair. The Shark liftaway I have now is ridiculously difficult to clean hair out of. I have to take like 10 screws out to get to the brush roll, ridiculous concept.

Shark Performance Plus vacuums are full of the shelf at my Costco warehouse. So the old model is on clearance online now.
