What do you mean less than 50% peanuts? It should be 0% peanuts - you didn't list it as one of the nuts in the mix.

I think someone actually weighed this in the reviews and found that it's 49% (or so) peanuts, so yeah even if it's 49.99% peanuts by weight, Planters still didn't lie because it's less than 50% but kinda overpriced when half of it is peanuts. Can't Planters/Amazon just make it $5 and remove the peanuts?

No, they can't - it wouldn't be $5 - they pad the peanuts, of course, because they're much cheaper. the peanut 50%=13.5oz is only about $2.43 (based on peanut price elsewhere on amazon) so if they removed the peanuts, you'd get 13.5oz of non-peanut-nuts for about $7.07. That, they could do. Probably could even go $6.99, since the container would be smaller. About 0.52/oz.
