Greedy companies with deceptive marketing practices think people are clueless, creating "newer" versions of existing tech just to make more sales.
Those who are not tech savvy and don't know anything about QLC/TLC and DRAM or refuse to do any research (which makes up the majority of ordinary consumers) are going to be the ones buying this drive.
Better appearance does not lead to better performance and endurance or higher quality.

I've only stuck with Samsung because they have utilities to clone drives and securely erase the drives if they need to be wiped.
