The US general is a real good option. I haven't been able to catch it anywhere near $399 in the last few months. For $399 the husky is the best deal I've seen in a while. I just got one and love it. Very sturdy, shelves do not feel cheap like the Harbor Freight Yukon that looks similar.

I always see this but think the harbor freight us general ones are better for about the same? But the chest one, no wood top. Thoughts?

In the other thread somebody said the harbor freight Yukon equivalent to this would be on sale for 330 this weekend. Anybody know if that's true? If not I'll grab this one

Ive got this model. Its very handy. The quality is good. Ive had for like 6 years or so. The best part is that this fits underneath a work table that I bought from HD to save space.

I made an MDF top for my U.S. General box and used inexpensive countertop laminate to make a surface for it. I honestly don't use it much as a work surface, and it would interfere with stacking the top-box if I decided to purchase it. I've auditioned this Husky in the store and I would say they're comparable. Although, this one is quite a bit deeper than mine. 24" is countertop depth.

Thanks much for comments/reviews on this deal - I think it's super slick! I'm not sure if it's available everywhere or if it's YMMV.

I don't know if it's actually any better, but the US General is $579 for a smaller box with a rubber top. https://www.harborfreight.com/too...64446.html

I just purchased it online for pickup at the store, if you are a Veteran you still get 10% off making it $358 before tax.

I got this instead of HF US general a couple years ago, and its a good solid chest. I do a lot of my "workbench" duty on top of it vs my actual workbench. Top drawer is full length which is perfect for all my sockets, while bottom 2 thick drawers have buffers and other large items. Love the soft close, and mine came with some drawer liners. Its heavy so get a trailer with a ramp - most HD have these in stock...

Just bought this today to compliment my HF 5 drawer cart. Pretty solid box, I went with this because I wanted a wood top work surface.

I have this exact one (ok, it's blue). Very pleased with it, solid, heavy duty wheels and the fact it has a power strip built in.

Drawers are solid and have a great self closing feature.

Also liked the fact that "assembly" means attaching the 4 wheels. That's it and it's ready for use.
