How is this better than the razer viper ultimate? I've never had a mouse last me as long as my 3 year old razer viper ultimate has. I even bought a backup when it was on sale for $55

I've been out of the loop in mice tech because the one I have has lasted so long.

V2 pro is the competition to this model

Comes down to slight differences and personal preference. The hump on this is slightly more aggressive for palm usage vs flatter V2 pro - and the switches of the Razer are slightly lighter and easier to spam.

Can't go wrong with either one. Both exceptional.

After going down a mouse rabbit hole for a week, I ended up choosing this one, especially since it's on sale for historical low. I have a Glorious Model O with no QC issues, and I really like the ambidextrous shape, but wish it was just a bit taller. Logitech GPX hasn't been updated in forever. Razer high end mice have good tech these days, but the Viper V2 sits low, similar to the Model O. Optical switches, low weight, and parts availability seem great, but I just don't like the height. Vaxee XE looks good, but it's slightly heavier (which can be good if you prefer that). Was also looking at Pulsar; they look and feel good, but have reported QC issues. HyperX Pulse 2 actually looks really good. The Pulse 1 seems like a great budget option. Ergonomic mice are a completely separate category.

Anyways, this went on sale, so picked it up. Software isn't great, but neither is Razer Synapse. Looking forward to trying it.
