IMO this is the entry level price. Free rear speaker. Yes, you can build a much more capable system for less. Yes, it will probably last longer than this since standard hardware isn't reliant on software updates. No, standard hardware won't have the software connectivity this does, but if sound is important to you, don't believe the hype of these devices

If you want something that looks great, sounds great, and is super easy to use and set up (specifically talking about their room calibration software that just uses your phone) then I disagree with you. I think this is a great value. If you already own a good AV receiver then sure, but if you don't, than no.
