Performance on the 4060 Ti is a joke compared to this. You lose out on DLSS3 vs DLSS2 and AV1 encoding, but for gaming and productivity it's essentially a wash in most scenarios. I don't think the $100 premium is worth it going for the 4060 Ti. The 3060 Ti is a solid card, though you need to watch out for the 8GB VRAM limit for future gaming titles

Keep it. The GPU's have almost the same performance.

Seems the general census nowadays is do not waste money on an 8GB card in 2023 because it's already not aging well. Even 1080p Ultra in some titles is demanding beyond 8GB!

8GB cards should be $200. $250 at most.

Found this article interesting. 4060 Ti will be faster where VRAM is not stressed, I think that's older games. But for newer and future games, the bigger memory bus width make 3060 Ti better.
> The RTX 3060 Ti has a 256-bit memory bus, but the RTX 4060 Ti only has a 128-bit bus for the same 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

IMHO you're better off buying this than a 4060ti

3060 TI w/ 8GB or 3060 w/ 12GB for running or tuning AI models?? Thinking memory might trump speed but this seems like a solid deal.

Is the 3 fan version worth the $25 price increase?

The 3060 Ti only 3-9% faster than a 2080 Super. I think 40-50% improvement is what you should be looking for, so maybe a 4070 or better.

Oh look a GPU with a price it should have had a year ago.

In all seriousness, if you need to game with Nvidia for some reason, this is probably your best NIB option right now.

Getting closer...another hundred off seems about right to start to make up for all the price gouging they've been doing the last ~5 years. Peace

They just need to give them away for free to make up for the crypto shenanigans 😅

Pretty sure you've got that backwards. The 2080 Super is a bit better than the 3060 TI. But agreed on it being a small difference.
