Panel in the front looks horrendous. Good deal and reviews are decent.

This was $399 a few months ago, which is when I got it. Third party contractor hauled away the old one and installed this one. So far so good.

Got one and love it. Only had it for 3 months and I was skeptical about the no presoaking of dishes but it gets them clean and dry. I was kind of apprehensive about a home depot floor model but it worked fine with a big discount.

The only thing I'll add here is that I have this exact model. Works decently well and it's quieter than our last machine. That said, it doesn't feel built to last unless you're careful with it. The hinges on the door are thinner than they should be and flex sometimes when bringing the door all the way down. Gaps in the top basket seem to be a little wider than my older dishwasher's basket, which unless you're careful when loading it, would allow things to more easily fall through during a cycle screwing up the sprayer arm. If you look closely you can almost see the "planned obsolescence" and corresponding built-in design flaws in it's design (not that other brands are better - if you know differently please reply to this comment). We bought ours for about $500 + tax through Costco last time it was on sale on 2/23 w/Costco Citibank Visa for the extra appliance warranty. For that price we're mostly happy with it. When it breaks we'll replace it. I cry for the future of this planet. Cheers.

I'm looking to replace my current Maytag that has a control panel that doesn't work anymore but it still runs. I looked to see how much it costs to replace and it's not worth paying $100* for a new control panel. Don't use the steam sanitize option I think that's what fried my current control pabel

This is basically price of install, haul away and warranty if you get this from anywhere else. If you live in an area where Costco can install for free, it's no comparison to PCR or Home Depot.. I would get it but install is not available in my area.

I bought this during the $399 deal and it works great. It's much quieter than I thought it would be, and more so compared my old 20 year old whirlpool it replaced. Cleans everything very well, no regrets on buying it.

Hey,

Did you have to uninstall the old one for them to haul away?

Had a similar problem with our Maytag and did decide to replace the control panel. We never used the steam sanitize. However, I think the ribbon cable was susceptible to steam produced during the drying process (it vented near the handle which is right next to the part of the cable that went bad). The replacement panel seemed to have a more waterproof coating and hasn't given us any more trouble so far.

This has switched back to 579$ even before the day is over. I was thinking of purchasing it in the evening but I see it's not 500$ anymore.

No they did it themselves.
