This is one that has been on for 10 hrs a day, almost everyday?

Good point, but i think these count as "open box" if it was a display model and still get full warranty
Item page lists "Allstate 3-Year Protection Plan Bundle Included for 5 years of total coverage" so...safe gamble in my opinion

Lol this now the 3rd or 4th ymmv deal with the tv between $1500 and $1800… very low (if any) quantity actually available. I'm heading to my local Costco (Torrance ca) if anyone is interested in meeting up to discuss how sad we are we didn't get in on this deal. I'll even buy everyone a round of hot dog and drink LOL

All state doesn't cover burn in though.. with high usage on floor model, it's very risky.

People consistently misunderstand the impact isn't the first few years, it's you just took out 1/3 of the lifetime. So instead of this TV last you 8-10 years as designed, things will start failing 5-7

So ya you have a warranty for 3 years.... That's pointless as if the TV lasted 2500 hours already, it isn't a lemon.

There is a reason these extended warranties are so profitable, they cover the periods within the lifetime the products are qualified to already Wink

Never buy a floor model if it's for anything except for a kids play room or outdoor bbq tv Wink

What does it cover then? It's useless if it doesn't cover that.

Only best buy has real burn in coverage

The rest Weasel out of it. Check Reddit for the dozens of threads people complaining about the warranty not covering XYZ.

And with Costco it's still just a Squaretrade warranty. Meaning they'll likely try and replace the TV with a much lesser TV (and usually not an OLED) if something that is covered breaks.

It's why buying a floor model only makes sense at Best Buy. Slap the 5 year warranty on it and you're likely getting your money back (store credit) before the warranty expires

For just binge watching 4K movies and some sports channel, will LG UHD 86" UQ8000 for $999 at Costco be a better deal? Have been seeing this price for a couple of months at Bay Area Costco.

Bought a floor model C8 a few years ago and it had a light burn. Contacted LG via Facebook messenger and they replaced the panel very quickly. I wouldn't worry much about getting a floor model from Costco

Ive seen one at the costco in St. Augustine FL for $2250 and they want to sell it with no box. I don't understand how the conversation here isn't about how you transport this thing safely…

Costco in fountain valley has 5-6 77 inch c2 but they haven't been marked down after the first round of clearance Frown. It's going to 2400 but would bite of it hit under 2000.

Odd because where other sizes have gotten multiple markdowns.

If you find a great deal on one, you can usually rent a cargo van from Home Depot or a small Uhaul pretty cheap. I think van rentals start at like $20, although there are some other fees of course. An old comforter with tie down straps would keep things snug. Things like that can be a pain to transport even with a box, depending on what you drive.
