If you need a clutch, the red tool is swell. If you don't and prefer having an LED, variable speed, and saving a few bucks, get the dewalt as tiggerooze suggested.

Here's a Project Farm comparison of several electric screwdrivers for reference:

I have this thing - if you don't care for the gyroscopic handle, get the metabo at $59 which is pretty much the same as milwaukee (clutch, handle, buttons) but has an led light.

I don't know if there any other tool in the M4 line to justify this thing.

Most Milwaukee tools are over priced but yeah this one is really bad, not saying the unit is bad... price. Why another battery type? They could have made this a m12 tool with no issue, understand the size was there goal... if that was a requirement, use cell base ones from the small flash light line rather than now M4.

It would've been a lot chunkier as an M12. Not defending this tool - this price is completely ridiculous for 99/100 people, but for those whose niche it fits? It can be justified.

This should be a removable 18650 or 21700 battery that the tool itself can charge with a hidden/protected USB-C input port.. could be a much lighter and more compact device that way. Fenix makes some good headlamps & flashlights that can do this, Big Tool names should do it for their lights/flashlights/compact tools, too.

That's what I was saying... this one, they had it already, why create another battery type? Money. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../313303644

Same, I would rather use a seperate platform that's cheaper if it doesnt use m12/m18.
