How is this any different than the Eagle from a few days ago? I bought that but hasn't shipped, is this somehow better? Same price, LOU included, etc. Is it just form factor?

Besides the 2 vs 3 fans it's not. All base models are about the same

Does that extra fan make any real difference for temperature?

Depends on the sizes of the fans and the heat produced. For these...not really

What's the difference between this and the 6650xt? I looked at a few scales and it seems pretty big

No worries.....one last thought...length of card...3 is longer and may need consideration to whether or not it'll fit in a case.

The major difference is the 6600 has 28Cus and the 6600XT(same as 6650xt) has 32 and also faster memory. So a decent difference in terms of performance.

I would hold out at least a 6600XT model or 10gb 6700 IMO.

I have an old case, I am not the greatest with pc tech but I did a lot of googling, and I am pretty positive my case is ok. Can you confirm for me? All I see reference to is VGA which I assume is spec name for gfx card. I would very much appreciate it so I can reorder now instead of having to return. Thanks!

edit

The eagle requires 282mm

Yes, VGA refers to the video card.

"VGA length limitation: 350mm(Without Front Fan)"

Meaning you have plenty of space, with or without the front fan.

These prices are good. In the last few months a few console games ported to PC run poorly with 8gb of vram. (Most stuff is still ok with 8@1080p) Vram being the limiting factor at 1080p. If you know how to adjust video settings, it's less of a problem. 6700 or xt is a better deal imo. Extra bit of ram and power will help with less upgrades over time.
