Budget brand. My opinion is that they are generally as cheap as you want to go but still quality worth buying for someone who won't use it often or doesn't need high-quality. Some of their tools are better than others. That's where slickdeals comments come in helpful.

I generally feel confident buying Wen but am willing to spend a tad more if other deals are available. That said, I have this unit in my garage, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Same price on wenproducts.com right now in case Amazon runs out or charges tax in your state. I got this same filter for 104.99 in November and I really like it. I particularly like the timer. I run it on medium or high while working in my small shop to cut down on the airborne dust. But then I run it on low for one hour after I turn off the tools to just kind of clear the last of the air.

It was easy to mount and level. I made a small remote holder with some shop scraps so I could store the remote on my workbench.

I've started to see this brand pop-up a lot recently. Are they new? Are they good?

I have two of these in my woodworking shop. They work great.
You can also get aftermarket filters, some examples:

Though WEN branded filters are often cheapest.

Been using one for about a year now. Works great. I have it mounted on the ceiling. You also can just place it sideways on rolling wire shelves between the shelves. I contacted the company and they said it was allowable.

Have one. Cheaper and more effective to use a box fan with 4 filters if you have the space. Just google "diy air filter box fan"

I have this. I think it's a good deal at the normal price of $131 so this is a decent deal. This is made for a workshop or garage when you're going to enter the workspace and turn it on for a job. For in home use you might want a Coway or something that increases and decreases speed automatically. However, it's pretty quiet. I leave it continually running in my basement on the low setting to handle cement dust. Low speed sounds comparable to a quiet fan and only heard when you're in the same room, high speed is louder like a fan running on high.

It's moderately heavy duty, being all metal. I wouldn't drop the thing, but it's not flimsy plastic like a Coway or other air filter.

It's not too heavy.

Replacement filters are $26-30, doesn't seem too bad.

This unit is made in China (like everything else) but they're a reputable American company in Illinois.

This filters particles like wood dust, not smoke or VOCs.

WEN is a budget brand, but a decent value for the money among the budget brands. Many of their tools are from the same OEMs and are exact duplicates as brands that are considered better. This filter, for example, is sold as a bunch of different brands with different paint and stickers.

I have 2 of these, and have been happy with them for over a year. The only quirk is that they use an IR remote, which can be fiddly if you have more than 1 unit.

This would be a better option, has a carbon filter and is cheaper.
