Budget brand. My opinion is that they are generally as cheap as you want to go but still quality worth buying for someone who won't use it often or doesn't need high-quality. Some of their tools are better than others. That's where slickdeals comments come in helpful.

I generally feel confident buying Wen but am willing to spend a tad more if other deals are available. That said, I have this unit in my garage, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Same price on wenproducts.com right now in case Amazon runs out or charges tax in your state. I got this same filter for 104.99 in November and I really like it. I particularly like the timer. I run it on medium or high while working in my small shop to cut down on the airborne dust. But then I run it on low for one hour after I turn off the tools to just kind of clear the last of the air.

It was easy to mount and level. I made a small remote holder with some shop scraps so I could store the remote on my workbench.

I've been eyeballing this for a while for my basement workshop. Per the three camels, best Amazon price in a couple of years. Gonna finally pull the trigger. Great find OP!

I have their metal cutting floor bandsaw (used usually for pipe). I have cut 1 x 1 and 2x2 solid steel bars with it. Very good product and compared to the makita cutoff saw I had, better built.

I have this in my garage when woodworking. When I'm done I let it run for another couple of hours and the air smells noticeably better than before. Even my wife commented on how the garage air seems better.

I have a basement office and am putting in a closet sized cabinet for my laser and cnc router. I plan on exhausting the air and contamination directly outside. Was just going to use a generic bathroom exhaust fan. Bad plan? Should I be using something like this?

My shop dust collectors exhaust outside, but they are not in a conditioned space. I'd guess that your office is heated/cooled. As such, you'd be blowing a lot of that conditioned air outside.

I paid $108 in 2020. Sold it a few months later since it really doesn't do much. It's mostly for clearing air that is visibly dirty like with floating saw dust. It does not reduce fumes.

Stick to your plan. I had this and replaced it with an exhaust fan.

How large of a shop will it clean?
I have an 1800sqft shop.
It's not as much for wood particulate, as I move heavy dust machines out, but for general dirt and dust from the Vegas desert.
Thoughts?

Probably not. It's made for people that work in enclosed spaces like woodworking where dust particles are produced and floating through the air.

The board on my Jet died after 10 years. I replaced a $2 capacitor and it is fine again.
