I've had consumer Canon printers at work and you still need to baby sit the ADF because sometimes it will suck in more than 1 page at a time. The color one we had was like $180-200 for the Black toner. Not sure if it's any different from this B&W only one. I did find that 3rd party color toner was terrible since colors were just off, but for B&W it's probably fine.
High Shipping Fees are the biggest reason these heavy printers are so inflated now.
I have 2 of the D530 and have had them for about 6-8 years. Both still run perfectly and print probably about 10-20 pages each day at our office. Never a breakdown and they rarely jam and they run on $12 generic toners. Cheap toner is the key.
No, $130 is fine for these. Just don't pay $299 for that Brother "slick deal" without ADF.

I heard toners are expensive
If this is the same stuff they have bene using for many years, like my other MF's like MF4150, as well as few others, toners are like $15-$25. I forgot the number but best double check to make sure they are not using one of the newer stuff.

The mono toner tn760 is about $8.50 - $12 each vs $45+ for mfg Brand (depending if you buy in bulk). It is also possible to refill toner. The main issue is inflation, right now toner is relatively cheap but next year and beyond

I had an older version of this printer, lasted 15 months before a latch broke in it and would not stay closed so had constant error code. Had an expensive color inkjet from Canon that broke after 2 years as well going back before that. Personally I won't buy another printer from Canon, I'll stick to their cameras. Had extremely good luck with Brother printers so that's my recommendation for anyone looking for a printer.
I have a brother laser all-in-one printer that I bought refurbed from Newegg (HL-2280DW) in 2014 for $89. It runs off 3rd party stupid cheap toner. I promised myself that when it died, I'd upgrade to one with more bells and whistles, but here I am still using it in 2023 with no end in sight.
Consumers can hit corps that gouged and boycott products with unreasonable price increases. Nvidia learning the hard way. The AI short term profit is a house of cards.
I know inflation has really hurt this country .Everything is up across the board
and will continue under this dementia listless vessel who is running this country . I miss as you do 2020 just say'in .Oh did i also mention my 401k has dropped 43k or roughly 20% . In 2020 alone it went up 18% . This dummy here also helped put that bozo in office ...live and learn and never beleive fake news again.....
not sure which country you are in but my 401k jumped 20 percent this year so we are right on track for recovery. try investing in companies like nvidia instead of rifles and beer next time!

huh? nvidia just reported a great quarter. I don't think they're going to change anything.

Seems like a good deal, though. SD seems to have missed it?
