They keep removing features if you don't have a camplus subscription. The cameras were a lot more useful when I first bought them.

- Use an official but old beta that isn't on Wyze's website but is floating around the internet
- Use wzhacks on github to hack rtsp firmware
- If you have Docker you can use a wyze-bridge container which allows more recent official firmware but still local rtsp re-streaming

You'll have to do the same. Load the beta firmware. I doubt Wyze will ever officially support rtsp.

I have tried some of their refurbs from eBay. Had to return half of them. Some of these units have a focusing problem, which is likely why people returned them, but the refurb testing I am sure only checks the connectivity and basic 'I see video'.

Yes, it's still free. I moved one of the V3s from the Home Depot deal to Cam Plus Lite after the initial Cam Plus 3 month free membership, works fine. I've had Cam Plus Lite from the beginning, 5 cameras are currently on it.

I love my Wyze Cam V3s, I am also on the verge of ripping out all my Wyze cams. There is really no reason why they can't add in some simple things like having a pause function or something so my goddamn cameras don't go off every ten seconds if I am outdoors and forced to just shut them off. I assume there is some logic to this but all it is going to do is drive people away and I have their damn subscription too so it's not like they aren't getting money out of me. Think I will just pay more and get Nest cams, so sick of this shit with them.

I'm trying to figure out if these Wyze cameras are my best option. Not sure if I should go in this direction or go nest? I have a nest doorbell so am used to that and have the subscription already but these seem pretty cost-effective.
