Probably worth a try but I personally won't buy another open box laptop from Best Buy. They don't check or clean them at all and put broken ones right back on the shelf as "excellent" condition.

If you have the Amex deal for lenovo you may be able to get the 6800H/6800S version of this laptop for about the same price brand new after cashback.

You won't notice the difference between the 6900HX and the 6800H. The 6800H version also has a full RGB keyboard.

I paid:
1232
-100 Amex Lenovo Deal
-123 10% Cashback
=1,009 + tax

May have to wait for the cashback deals to come back but I've seen 10-15% pretty regularly at Lenovo over the last few weeks.

Been very happy with the laptop though. Compared to the Zephyrus g14 this feels better quality but the screen is worse. I have no issues playing fortnite on Epic Settings or rocket league or warzone.

Decent laptop, but:

- There's no USB4 unlike the L5 Pro and L7 non-slim models
- The lid is so thin and flimsy that every display unit I've seen has a warped and bent lid. May or may not cause issues, but sure isn't very nice to see.

Yea where the heck did it go? They have 10% cashback on lenovo right now too.

I definitely recommend the 6800H/6800s version.

Only negatives are battery life (8 hours regular/45 minutes gaming max), and thickness. It's 1 inch thick, not .67 like they claim (they don't count the feet)

But it's a solid build and for what I paid i couldn't be happier

8 hours on such specs with 71wh battery is pretty darn good.

Not really, it's a pretty big laptop (even though it's slim) playing any game (like even Command and Conquer) will drop it to <4 hours. 8 hours is web browsing and video watching. Might be able to get more but it's important to note that the AMD processors boost sporadically so it's really hard to get an accurate battery life test/estimate. I can't think of a time when I've been more than 8 hours away from a plug (with my laptop) so I don't really think this is a negative, but others, like the G14 get over 10 hours

Hmm good to know. Yea they had a 10% cashback last time on top of the discounts and they all got eaten up.
45 minutes gaming on battery you say? I guess there aren't many laptops that can do much better right? I'm guessing 1-2 hours tops

Honestly I don't know what the typical battery performance is for a true gaming laptop like this. The Power brick is 230W so that's a ton of power draw lol. I didn't really consider gaming on battery when I bought it though haha.
