Yes, I had a teenager visiting from abroad and it worked great. I booked him on many flights using red eye flight etc. (to avoid looking for overnight stay at a motel) and he went through the whole country on backpack. I don't know if that was AA or Delta but it was in May 1986. At that time, they even allowed back and forth travel.

I remember when Jet Blue had 3 months of All You Can Jet for $500 in 2010.

I flew 7 segments and the most costly was ~$65 for taxes flying to Aruba.

No charge for my carry on.

anyone have an example of how much the taxes generally work out to be % wise? I know it varies from place to place but a rough ball park would be nice if you have one.

$299 for what is essentially the employee standby benefit is not bad!
how could their employees even take adv of their free flight benefits on these cheap always full crowd flights like these.

By the time they scam you for a carry-on bag or a checked bag, you are going to feel how frustrating this deal is. Having said that, it might work for a couple who can travel for a few days and who are able to travel to a warm place where heavy winter clothes are not required.

Friendly reminder of bag fees:

at least $100 round-trip for a carry-on bag (other than a purse / backpack), and $96+ for a 40lb checked back depending on when you actually check it.

Since Frontier does an awful job of giving you the prices themselves without actually booking, here's a site that lays it out: https://upgradedpoints.com/travel...gage-fees/

I have the annual pass and for domestic flights it's always $15 per leg. So a non-stop flight $15 and if you have a connection it's $30. I think the international flights are where the taxes vary greatly.

"* You live near a Frontier hub"

Hub or served city? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lis...stinations says Denver is the only Hub airport.

This reminds me of the oil change pass I got suckered into buying once. 2 years of oil changes for both my cars for only $80! Of course they always found a $100-500 extra service or repair and it was a pain to schedule service so I didn't actually use it that often. Ended up being the most expensive and least convenient oil changes of my life in hindsight.

This seems like a way for Frontier to either make it so inconvenient that you don't use the pass often, or if you do use it, they make double in fees off of you.

nobody forced you to repair those extra problems. did they ask you to fix them or they wouldnt change your oil? if you need to fix it anyway due to safety. you should thank them for finding it out.
