Even if these are great, I've never found plastic measuring cups to hold up as well as even cheapie aluminum ones. Always wind up getting sticky, gritty, etc.

I'm talking about after 10+ years of use. Plastic gets beat up from scraping, washing, other stuff banging against it, having oils on them, etc. I guess you could say they're disposable, but why not just get something that'll last you forever at the same quality vs one that'll be nice for a year or two then you'll hang onto for 5 more slowly letting it drift further and further back in a drawer because it doesn't quite work as well as it used to.

These aluminum ones are for me (magnetic Oxo) - plastic ones are for the kids to practice and misplace, You do have a point though,
