I used to have hundreds of these. Saved them from my childhood in the 80s and kept them hoping I would pass them on to my son who would find as much joy in them as I did for hours. 40 years later I brought out my collection, hoping he would find them as joyous as they I found them in my childhood. He picked up a few and looked at them. That moment I found these as exciting as my 10 year old self. My son commented that they were nice and went back to watching some YouTuber pulling a funny prank on someone. I felt betrayed and useless. Somewhere along the toy Matchbox and Hot Wheels die cast metal cars, my childhood was still driving those awesome machines over impossible terrains.

SD question:
Do you know if this is a metal car or plastic ones like hot wheels?

Metal. Most Hot wheels are metal also, unless you got it in a happy meal 😁

Are these in individual packaging or out. My two year old has trust issues and wants them in packaging so he knows they are new and not one I found laying around the house

My grands LOVE all the ones I saved from their daddy's collections, easily thousands, as we had four sons. Maybe hold on to them a little longer they will be appreciated.

there's a good lesson to be learned here: get your kids interested in stuff as early as possible, because there'll be more stuff to compete with as they get older.

I played with hot wheel some but not a lot when I was a kid. My 4 year old is obsessed with them big time.

As a kid, I would make up car stories in my head every night until I fell asleep. Driving the family car to Disneyworld…going camping and sleeping in the trunk of a station wagon…over the river and through the woods. It was my way to escape the monotony of my daily existence as my parents were poor and we didn't travel much at all.

Two years ago, I got to drive my convertible cross country moving from NY to LA. God bless America.
