They look great new, but quickly get worn in after a few washes and look more like traditional jeans which lighten on the edges and surfaces of the cotton. I didn't like the look of items I saw on ebay and other used markets.
As long as you are okay with the way they are going to look after a few washes, this is a good deal.

Cold water wash & line dried are jeans best friend.
Even with this content it fit way tighter than other 541s have, returned for a second pair and they as well are skin tight on me

The wash is actually one of my favorite and had become that way more as they wore.
Wash them alone or with like colors at first because the color of the jeans form from the blue on the outside and blank on the inside.
I've moved onto slightly more fitted jeans (Express, American Eagle, and Levi's all carry an Athletic Slim cut) putting the 541s in 4th for me. But they are still quite a viable option.
Blue stitched with black giving it a grey look depending on light and wear.
I believe that's what the athletic fit is, essentially slim fit jeans for people with thicker legs.
