Not a bad price for the features, but it has a scary amount of negative reviews about the pellet hopper / auger computer going on the fritz and giving the ERR code. I'm under the impression that the electronics are of shoddy build quality. It's probably best to look elsewhere.

Stay away! Well maybe that's too harsh. I'd advise you to be cautious. I only used this about a dozen times when I ran into the err code. Sams club cs were nice enough to arrange pickup and refund (store credit), but it did waste a day waiting for freight company to pick it up.

When it did work, it was pretty good. Held good temp and food had decent amount of smoke. The pellet dispenser wasn't very good. The design didn't allow for consistent drop of pellets. I'd have to come out every once in a while and move the pellets.

I have had one of these from last year when they clearanced them out and it is a far better unit than my pit boss was.
