YMMV, but sometimes Samsung throws in extra discounts when you checkout (at least using the app). I've gotten my 40mm lte one for $110 net with the $70 tiv.

Did some reading in the terms and conditions. Assuming this applies to any device that is not one of the brands listed above:

The FCC ID number can usually be found printed somewhere on the mobile device. Sometimes it may be necessary to remove the battery pack to find the number. The FCC ID number can also be found in the user manual for each device.
If Samsung denies the trade-in or values it at $0, you can request to have it sent back to you free of charge.
I would double check with a rep as well.

So really old fitbit (like Charge 2) with some 3rd party stainless steel band can still trade-in without any issue?

Galaxy watch 3 is the best trade in option here. You can find watches readily available for $38 buy it now on eBay that will satisfy the trade in requirement. With taxes you're looking at a net $90 off after the trade in.

During previous similar deal, I chatted with Samsung rep. and asked if a particular watch was eligible for trade in. The rep. placed the order for me and even gave me a discount. I printed out the chat transcript and shipped it with the trade in.
