Yes and depends on your GPU mostly. I have a i7-12700k and it barely gets utilized while gaming. It's mainly the GPU doing the work.

Just go onto YouTube and compare this cpu to other CPUs when it comes to gaming. You'd be surprised how close it is to the i7 in gaming.

GN only ripped the CPU (3 months ago) over the $210 price at the time. Other than that, the gaming benchies didn't look too bad, esp. now at a lower price.
