I enjoy mine. Check with your electric company, a lot of them have rebates. I got mine for a lot less.
This. This is the cheaper of the Sensi models and is usually pretty cheap through utility rebates. I had a couple of the more expensive ST75 models in my last home and I like them far more than the Nest tstats I currently have.

Had 4 of these for nearly 8 years, solid and reliable no frills Wi-Fi functionality and scheduling. Only moved away to ecobee as I needed more specific heat pump controls based on outside temperature. Ecobee has more features but has also given me more connectivity headaches. Great thermostat if all you need is basic Wi-Fi controls and scheduling.
And like poster above, adding a plug in 24vac adapter as a c wire is super easy. But you might not need to as it draws power from a 4 wire setup or c wire if available.
I've had this for years now. Great for basic functionality and for remotely changing the temp/programming/etc. I installed these at my parents and in-laws house as well.
These do NOT require a C Wire for most installs that have "conventional heating and cooling". If you have a heat pump, Heat only, cool only, or want to use Apple HomeKit integration then you need the C Wire.
I got two of these. One for home and one at work. Easy to set up, simple interface on the app. App also shows me two thermostats even with two separate locations. I would not hesitate to get another if I ever need. Battery lasts me about 3 years.
App works fine, but the "float" aka cycle rate on this unit can't be adjusted much. I have it set to "slow", but it still kicks on/off too much, when the weather is super cold especially.

If you connect the C wire to them you can keep the illumination light constantly on.
