Unboxed mine today. Very obviously used, scuffed base and docking station, full dust bag, filthy mop area with hair and dirt and grime. Dust in the dust bin on the robot, water in the water bin on the robot.

Wouldn't have minded all of this, but they didn't ship me a critical component to use the mop, the water filter (a big plastic piece). The robot will not mop without this component.

Very poor QA for this refurb program. Contacted Roborock customer service and provided photos, not sure what resolution will be.

Nasty used? The last Roborock refurb that I got was brand-spanking new. Dreame is a decent robovac but not as good as V7Max.

Have a Roborock for less than a year. There's plastic under the wheel that broke. I'm guessing it was screwed in too tight. I contacted Roborock and they refused the warranty stating it's an accessory then directed me to aliexpress to order the part. Weird since they don't sell it on their website and don't state it ever needs replacing.

Am I reading right that the old model, S7 MaxV Ultra, was replaced with a new model, S7 Max Ultra? What the heck is this naming convention! And now it's impossible to find any review comparisons. So confused on what to get. Apparently the "new" S7 Max Ultra comes with more features (drying dock, updated dock) but its $1000 on their site.

Yeah, I scratch my head too. I have the S7 MaxV Ultra. I think the V may mean Vision or Camera. They have removed that feature in the new one and added the dryer. I prefer the camera but some people may be against it due to privacy. Ymmv

The new one without V does not have a good obstacle detection. You can use camera or not but the main improvement is using the lasers which are missing on the new max ultra. I think they call it 3D something. Some other t manufactures do not even consider the system on new max ultra as obstacle avoidance . For example the equivalent of it l10 not l10s do not even mention it. S8 and ecovac x1 both have that laser. These are really over priced to me so they were looking to remove something to drop price significantly to expand market share

Probably the camera helps in AI detection too. Mine has detected many obstacles including one where it was my cat.

I see, thanks guys for the explanation. I still feel these will drop in price more personally and I'm not in a rush. Might come back to bite me, but the S7 MaxV Ultra seems to be the one I want and I think it'll drop more.

I got this for Ultra for $959.99 last time it was on sale and it was basically new with 40 hours on it. I ran it up so much since then lol.
