Unboxed mine today. Very obviously used, scuffed base and docking station, full dust bag, filthy mop area with hair and dirt and grime. Dust in the dust bin on the robot, water in the water bin on the robot.

Wouldn't have minded all of this, but they didn't ship me a critical component to use the mop, the water filter (a big plastic piece). The robot will not mop without this component.

Very poor QA for this refurb program. Contacted Roborock customer service and provided photos, not sure what resolution will be.

Nasty used? The last Roborock refurb that I got was brand-spanking new. Dreame is a decent robovac but not as good as V7Max.

Have a Roborock for less than a year. There's plastic under the wheel that broke. I'm guessing it was screwed in too tight. I contacted Roborock and they refused the warranty stating it's an accessory then directed me to aliexpress to order the part. Weird since they don't sell it on their website and don't state it ever needs replacing.

I bought OEM pads from roborock. There are more affordable knockoffs from Amazon but I'm not poor. The 3 pads I have will last me years.

Ah, good to know. Definitely does not announce for me. I checked reddit and a couple other forums for fixes and the only thing seems to be to buy a new dustbin or replace this tiny magnet, but mine has a magnet from what I can tell, so it could be the internal sensor.

This seems like maybe the best option for me. Having the small obstacle avoidance of the MaxV will be really useful (never know where dog toys get left). And I think I'll be fine manually refilling and cleaning the mop.

Is there a reason I'm missing that this option isn't a good deal? Why it wasn't listed and others are discussing?
I was wavering between S7 MaxV Plus and S7 MaxV (without the dock)

I ended up with S7 MaxV, I'll get the auto empty dock later on on ebay, it goes for $150 or lower.

Got my S7 MaxV opened. I can confirm these are not brand new units. In fact, the dust bin wasn't emptied, and contained someone else's toenails.

Please post how that goes. 2 hours after I initiated a return via eBay I got a message from them asking me to resolve any issues with them. I considered reaching out but I don't want to risk running past Ebay's 30 day return window.

I own seven Roborocks. Bought a refurb from Amazon years ago and it was DOA. I emailed Roborock and they shipped me a new one with fast shipping no questions asked, and merely asked that I ship the old one back using pre-paid mail slip.

This was maybe 4-5 years ago.

I'm also interested in how the resolution on these used units goes, I want to buy one but def not if these shows obvious signs of usage, not worth the 10% savings over a new one when it's on sale

My original Xiomi mi robot, first generation, still going strong. Replaced the battery twice and fan once. Running every single day for more than 5 years. Help me to understand why should I upgrade?
