Unboxed mine today. Very obviously used, scuffed base and docking station, full dust bag, filthy mop area with hair and dirt and grime. Dust in the dust bin on the robot, water in the water bin on the robot.

Wouldn't have minded all of this, but they didn't ship me a critical component to use the mop, the water filter (a big plastic piece). The robot will not mop without this component.

Very poor QA for this refurb program. Contacted Roborock customer service and provided photos, not sure what resolution will be.

Nasty used? The last Roborock refurb that I got was brand-spanking new. Dreame is a decent robovac but not as good as V7Max.

Have a Roborock for less than a year. There's plastic under the wheel that broke. I'm guessing it was screwed in too tight. I contacted Roborock and they refused the warranty stating it's an accessory then directed me to aliexpress to order the part. Weird since they don't sell it on their website and don't state it ever needs replacing.

The S7 MaxV Plus is also on sale. It has the auto-empty dock (but not the Ultra dock with the mop cleaning and water refill) for $660.

This seems like maybe the best option for me. Having the small obstacle avoidance of the MaxV will be really useful (never know where dog toys get left). And I think I'll be fine manually refilling and cleaning the mop.

Is there a reason I'm missing that this option isn't a good deal? Why it wasn't listed and others are discussing?

decided to try the q5+ and skip mopping. we'll see how it goes. looks like i may want to buy the different brush for it though... but i'll see how it gets by with the cat hair at first.

No smell and just a paper towel, dock cleans itself too but you have to use a paper towel to wipe it down, now im testing their newest and greatest but I can't reveal information until it hits the market but dock stays real clean on this one Smilie

I agree. We exported 1.5 Tb and imported 2.5 Tb in 2019 !!! It is the result of investors who look to make more profit in short time instead of good old time that they actually owned a business and loved it and were willing to accept lower profit to provide job for others and do what they liked which was not making more more money with less and less work . They were looking at longer term profits and goals

This is what happens in a free market.

We have work from homers in America making 200k+ in salary while actually working 2 hours a day.

Other countries have far lower worker pay. Of course trade will naturally favor the countries with lower pay standards especially in the manufacturing or skilled labor sector.

This is not to deny intellectual property theft going on or extreme examples of slave labor. I'm against that too.

For those talking about the mop dryer...skip it. Just buy replacement pads. Swap them out every other mop and wash them. Pretty simple. Either way, you need to pull the pad off and wash it every few moppings. The roborock isn't cleaning it like your washing machine is. You can thank me later.

Bought the s7 maxv ultra over Black Friday. Works really well. Pulled the trigger on the q5+. Hopefully the refurb unit isn't busted up. The s7 was new.

Got my S7 today. Definitely a refurb. Some light scuffs but looks like new on outside otherwise. Water tank REEKS of fabuloso cleaner. Dustbin looks clean enough. The place the dustbin goes into had a small clip-in cover on the side you have to remove if using the auto-empty dock. The backside of that cover and the area behind it is filthy.

Got connected to wifi but I had to move it super close to my router. It won't run a cleaning cycle because of error 9 - dustbin not installed (despite me installing it/reseating it multiple times). Could be a magnet missing from the filter? Or just a faulty bin? All according to some folks on forums. Disappointed and not sure if I should file a claim through the warranty for a new dustbin or just return and reroll.

Don't file through warranty if its still within 30 days, let ebay deal with it... Roborock should be able to exchange it and / or send a replacement.

I bought a s7 last black friday and it crapped out on me 6 months later. I sent it to allstate / squaretrade and they couldn't fix it so they sent me a check in the mail for the full amount. Got to keep the mop pad and the value of the coupon I used back then made it a money maker for me. I went ahead and purchased another s7 refurb, hopefully this one works out ok, if not, rise and repeat and make $$$ each time.
