Unboxed mine today. Very obviously used, scuffed base and docking station, full dust bag, filthy mop area with hair and dirt and grime. Dust in the dust bin on the robot, water in the water bin on the robot.

Wouldn't have minded all of this, but they didn't ship me a critical component to use the mop, the water filter (a big plastic piece). The robot will not mop without this component.

Very poor QA for this refurb program. Contacted Roborock customer service and provided photos, not sure what resolution will be.

Nasty used? The last Roborock refurb that I got was brand-spanking new. Dreame is a decent robovac but not as good as V7Max.

Have a Roborock for less than a year. There's plastic under the wheel that broke. I'm guessing it was screwed in too tight. I contacted Roborock and they refused the warranty stating it's an accessory then directed me to aliexpress to order the part. Weird since they don't sell it on their website and don't state it ever needs replacing.

Yes it should work. Definitely the s7 autoempty dock works on the maxv. Whether the base maxv charging dock works on the s7 I'm pretty sure it does but I haven't tried it. You can confirm with roborock to be certain.

Its pretty easy. You just load the map of the floor you are putting it on.

Though I will say it rarely messes up and loses it's orientation. That's only happened to me once

thanks for that... i got my butt out to roborock's site and read up a bit.

now i just have to decide if i do a q5+ vs the max/ultra. hadn't thought about having it mop my hiouse.... but it's appealing now that i think about it.

any idea on the life span of these things? like how well do they hold up for a few years? is it something you're gonna need a longer warranty on?

And... video reviews i've seen talk about the thing avoiding pet waste.

I have a pukey cat... and that means liquid stuff on the floor (let's say gravy on the floor). is that something these things' detectors will spot and avoid while vacumming?

Anyone got any advice on how and if you need to pre wet the mop on the s7/s7+ models?

I read the maxv does this automatically but for s7 you don't get good cleaning unless you pre wet this. I try to run these when I'm asleep or out so I can't manually wet it every-time it starts up.

Do you run it twice or wet it the night before?

Easiest thing would be to detach the mop and wet it then put it back on the s7 before it's scheduled to run

Actually l10s ultra is better by stages from the roborock s7 ultra

By the way I regret buying the cyclone dustbin for the bagless option on the s7 auto empty dock.

In theory it sounds good but it causes massive dust and the canister gets nasty.

I've learned to appreciate the dust bags. They are virtually dust free once you cinch them up and throw it in the trash. No polluted air gets into your house or even in the canister housing, much less the post dustbag hepa filter of the autoempty dock.

Also the dust bags have pretty good capacity. I haven't had to dump them more than once every couple of months.
Aliexpress also sells aftermarket bags for cheap.
Aren't those brushed for the base of the MaxV Ultra to clean the mop? They fit the S7/S7 MaxV vacuum itself?

A few weeks ago I bought two Roomba 860s. Since we dont vacuum nearly as often as we should, I thought they were game changers. However, the app was pretty horrible, not being able to spot clean areas is pretty lame and not having to ability to share the app with family wasn't very thoughtful. I'm hoping the Robovac is able to accommodate these features.

Downstairs I have 90% hard floor and 10% rugs. The Rooma seems to be pretty good, but I thought a moping function would be great to handle the kitchen and dining area which sometimes get messy. For that I was considering the Roborock S7 MaxV. I'm trying to figure out how the mop function works. Does the mop only perform the function on the hard floors and avoids the rugs during that run when the mop cloth is not on or not activated?

Upstairs I have about 70% low pile carpet and 30% hard floor. It rarely gets messy so no moping required but the bin gets full midcycle currently, so I thought the q5+ was the best option. The Roomba seems to be getting stuck in spots for no reason, so I think it's defective. The bin fills quickly given the amount of carpet that's upstairs so it seems I need a self-emptying option.

Does the combo I'm going with make sense or should I consider a different option? I also seen some people recommend a drying accessory, aftermarket bags, bagless conversions, and some other stuff through AliExpress. Is there a list of stuff with links for each product?

Yeah you can replace the silicone roller with that brush for better carpet performance

Actually u may be right about that brush. It may be for the dock.

This one can be used for the vacuum itself and has better bristles for carpet

This seems like maybe the best option for me. Having the small obstacle avoidance of the MaxV will be really useful (never know where dog toys get left). And I think I'll be fine manually refilling and cleaning the mop.

Is there a reason I'm missing that this option isn't a good deal? Why it wasn't listed and others are discussing?
