My garage is absolutely STOCKED with Hart tools. They're amazing especially for the price and just keep hammering on.

They're made by TTI tools who also make Ryobi and Milwaukee tools so to say a thing or two, they know how to make good tools.

There are a bunch of people who are brand loyal or are hardcore DIYers or former professionals. Or they're people who have lots of money to spend on $2000 worth of tools and batteries for their projects. That's all fine and good.

What's NOT fine and good is making fun of someone or dismissing this deal for someone who wants tools for projects or doesn't have thousands to spend on decent tools.

These aren't for me, but damn this is a good deal for a new homeowner or someone looking to upgrade their corded tools. Let them be happy.

I have no problem with the quality of Hart tools but personally I went with Ridgid for my drill and driver and Ryobi for my circular saw, reciprocating saw, multi tool and jig saw.

The reason I'd be wary of getting Hart is because who knows how long they'll actually be around. Whereas Ryobi they are an established brand at Home Depot.

Also if my Ryobi batteries ever go bad I can get an adapter on a certain auction site that will allow me to use my Ridgid batteries in Ryobi tools.

That said this combo set is a good deal and is all a casual DIYer is going to need

Friend is a house rehab guy and swear by Milwaukee. These are not in the same league.

I didn't know they are made by the same people as Ryobi so they are probably ok for homeowner. However, aftermarket battery availability seems to be an issue.

Does the fact that VW owns Lamborghini make you want to buy a Skoda? That a big conglomerate owns several brands doesn't really say much about those brands.

It's a very good deal if you aren't already invested in another system.

I live near the TTI headquarters (they are just north of Anderson, SC), and they do a pallet/parking lot sale a few times a year. Last time I went, bought a bunch of Hart circular saw blades and a tape measures. It's good quality stuff. They sorta have Hart/Ryobi/Ridgid/Milwaukee positioned as homeowner/hobbyist/prosumer/professional. My system is Ryobi, has been for years, and I've been slowly upgrading to brushless, although I still have some brushed tools that get used hard and continue to serve well.

If I was starting from scratch as just a homeowner with no major hobby or specialty needs, I'd certainly choose this deal.

definitely not brushless. if brushless, you would see that label on the tool. but i dont see that on the tools nor in the product description.

Glad (and surprised) to hear such a favorable review for the core tools. I bought the 20v small chainsaw and it broke after trimming less than a dozen branches all less than 1" diameter (I have several gas and electric chainsaws and polesaws, plenty of saw experience- I wanted a small 1-hand saw for trimming).

The good news is they did replace it, but I decided to avoid the brand after that.

Thumbs up on the deal, although I've already filled out my kit with another brand

I've had 1 thing replaced under warranty. Their 40v chainsaw has been beaten and bruised by us and I even took it apart to check for a leak one time (was me not putting the cap on correctly of course) and that motor is BEEFY so combined with that experience across all the tools I have and the extensive warranty, I pretty much pack out with these now, no regrets. Wish they made a brushless ratchet.
