It's worth noting that there is a "newer" version (Gen 4) of this model on the display floor that looks nearly identical and is the same price, but inferior IMO.

Gen 3 (this deal):
18 ga steel
21.5" deep
Pullout wood block work surface
LED light
2 interior power strips with USB

Gen 4:
19 ga steel
20" deep
No pullout surface
No LED light
1 interior power strip with USB

As with most things, newer is not necessary better. Be sure to buy the correct one if you're going to buy in-store.

Good luck all!

I'm going to sound stupid but that's on me… if it isn't obvious, this thing is heavy. Something like 550 lbs. Unless you have a trailer with a ramp, pay for delivery. I picked one up yesterday thinking I'd take two trips with my SUV. Just lifting the top off was a chore and I'm not weak by any stretch. Ended up buying a hitch and renting a trailer.

I rented a flat bed truck from my Home Depot. Came out to $25 for 75 minutes. Mine was shrink-wrapped on a pallet and they dropped it with a fork lift. When I got it home, I put a sheet of plywood on the ramp and slid the boxes down. I really wanted mine today, so this option was totally worth it.

My local HD has tool rental. They rent a 3'x5' trailer with a ramp for $25. Usually it's for 4 hours but if you rent near closing time you can keep it overnight. That's the easiest way to get these tool boxes home. You'll need a hitch with a 2" ball and some ratchet straps.

This v3 toolbox is the best in the Husky lineup. Some of the similar models don't have double slides on the full width drawer. This box has 3 drawers with dual slides.

Interesting, you know I was in the market for one of these about a year ago. Seems like the price was $898 MSRP?
a year ago the msrp of everything was a lot lower. WHAT IS THIS WORLD!?!?!?

They just delivered the chest and I was surprised that it came pre-assembled. I bought the exact same chest 6 months ago and it came in 2 boxes and I had to assemble it myself.

Picked mine up in my expedition XLT, was just able to fit both boxes, but it's the first time it's this close (I've put actual boats (El Toro) in the back of this car before!) bottom box was 359lbs, top box 255lbs... Workout of the day...

Solid! In for 1. Opted for delivery and military discount basically paid for that.

Already received notification that tomorrow's delivery is changed to Monday, so I guess we'll see if it happens at all.

I was about to bite the bullet today but now it's back at full price. Hopefully 4th of July has it even cheaper.

Edit. Looks like back at $798

I picked one of these up this morning (Daphne, Al). They had one left still in boxes and the other was the floor model. I hauled both boxes in the bed of the 3500 and had to squeeze the tailgate shut. It's AWESOME!
If you're in the market for one or if you think you're in the market, this is a no-brainer at this price point. Grab one before they're gone.
There is also a coupon out there for saving 10% if you use your Home Depot card.

Awesome. My area had the bigger 56" marked down to $850 in the matte blue color. After a big of haggling got it down to $800. Pretty happy with that from the $1400 original price tag. Granted these are pre-Covid regular prices, but such is life

And it was just delivered!

Driver called first to ask if I wanted it assembled first or in the box. Being leery of demo models left in the rain and all, I said in the box was good and that's what I got. Boxes look completely fine and delivery guys brought it right into my garage for me.

Now the unboxing and set up is my morning project! Smilie

Do you happen to have a picture of the tag you can share for the 56in one? Thanks

Oh, I saw the blue one at full price, and it's a beauty. I actually looked at it and said that baby's too big, but if they would have offered it to me for $800 I'd probably be trying to get it into my garage right now. Smilie

I had one delivered (+$79). Ordered it on Friday, delivered today (Monday). This thing is massive. Build quality seems as good as my small craftsman chests that are 10 years old. Now I can free up more space on my garage floor..... Just need to enlist some help to put the top chest on.
