This has been my main gaming (pc) and work (mac) monitor for the last year. The two display ports was one of the main selling points for me. No brainer for this price, but it has its quirks.

The picture is really great for gaming but only when ultimate contrast mode is on. This disables a lot of basic monitor options like brightness and contrast. You either like what they give you or you don't. It works for me.

The contrast mode acts a little funky on my Mac. Sometimes it blinks back and forth with scan lines in a way that's very distracting. I've had two models of this and they both acted the same.

The main gripe I have is this thing is awful with sleep mode. If it receives a wake signal from a computer, but the video takes too long to activate, like when the bios performs its startup checks, the monitor will sometimes power the LEDs in the back but not the screen. The only fix I've found is to yank and replace the power cord. It's a pain.

So for me it's a love hate monitor. The picture quality and response time are still amongst the best I've used in this category, and it's been solid for reading a lot of code on a daily basis for work.

I bought one last year, thinking that the qc issues were over exaggerated. Lo and behold mine had a black screen issue and had to be returned.

Just hope your lucky when you buy it.

I have had the 27" version for a few years now and love it, I think I had one stuck pixel but it seems to have corrected itself somehow lol. Echo the slow to wake from sleep but I have never had to unplug it or anything. A beast of a monitor!

Is this the model that had the scan line issue?
Yes, terrible design. If you play games in a dark environment, it darkens the image by 50% showing every other line. Wish I could still refund it.

If you get 2, it's $341.99. Unfortunately with EPP, it's limited to 2. Workaround is have another colleague order another Smilie

No HDMI 2.1 means you are going to have to buy another monitor in a year.
I believe it has 2.1

Skip these new models coming out in a few months that's why they're on sale. Lot of issues with these.

Got mine today and it's flawless. No dead pixels, no flickering, no scan lines or screen tear. Looks great and super smooth @ 240hz. Replaced my 34" UWQHD Alienware aw3418dw 120hz and couldn't be happier. Thanks again Op!

Rep gave me another discount after chatting with them. I initially asked about the availability of other 32" monitor that was not available anymore and then politely asked him if he can give me a discount for this model. There was no code to enter as he sent me a link to click, and the total price came down to $300.

I grabbed one of these as I have young teen boys starting to get more serious about this stuff and I want to continue to play with them. I am very technical but not so much on testing gaming hardware for quality issues.

I know how to check for dead pixels and backlight issues, but how to test for other issues?

U can use your cell phone and video the screen. If there's flickering you'll see it in the video. As for the screen tear, just google screen tearing test and u should find a video on YouTube that'll play a video with an image moving back and forth. Hope this helps.
