Withholding is totally irrelevant to qualifying for the credit.
If you're unclear on this go read a 1040.
The part where you compute tax liability is lines 16 through 24.
THAT is where the $7500 EV credit comes off.
Your withholdings aren't even looked at until after that on line 25+
This is also not correct.
The Child Tax Credit is worth a maximum of $2,000 per qualifying child. Up to $1,600 is refundable for the 2023 tax year.
Refundable credits are computed AFTER non-refundable ones-- so the CTC is only "worth" $400 off your tax burden for these purposes- the $1600 left is refundable.
Thus if you had say $7900 in tax burden and one CTC and one EV credit, your tax burden would go to $0 and you'd get a full refund of the $1600 refundable part of the CTC

Best bet is to call your insurance company and get a quote. In states that are at-fault the insurance rates do not seem to differ that much. If youre in a no-fault state then it seems youre going to bear the brunt of the price increases. In CA mine barely rose and the tesla has much higher MSRP than my older car.
For me its worth it. Tesla is the safest car in the world. period. Thats mainly due to the battery packs ability to act as a crumple zone.
Most other cars are just a bunch of aluminum welded together in certain ways but are not nearly as safe because obviously 400 pounds of shaped aluminum is not as safe as a solid chunk of 2000lbs of lithium.
Most EVs are almost as safe as Teslas due to this same principle of a skateboard style battery pack. Insurance companies hire people called actuaries who figure out what they need to charge to make a lot of money, right now geico has probably only processed 100 VW ID.4 claims vs 50,000 tesla claims because theres about 10,000 VW ID4 vs 2,000,000 Teslas in america.
Once more EVs get sold from other companies and they process more claims then the gap will close.
The NHTSA brought this issue to the FTC due to this.

If you want a deeper dive-
NHTSA officially only gives 1-5 "stars" as ratings.
So if you score in a given range, you get that number of stars.
NHTSA complained because officially Tesla only got 5 stars and so did other cars.
But their actual raw test data is available to compare everyone who gets 5 stars.
And when you do that, the lowest cars on the list for probability of injury are Teslas.

Dear god, i fear for your patients prescriptions if you have this much difficulty reading a simple table. That table can be read as "10-50%" but they translated it into miles instead of percentage.
Charging from 10-50% takes approx 15 minutes, charging from 50-100% takes approx 45 minutes depending on the tesla due to the way electricity and batteries work. Its the same as an iphone, or any other lithium ion cell
The only reason to charge to 100% at a supercharger is if you need to go as far possible on one charge. I typically charge at superchargers for 10-15 mins when my battery hits 10% because it gives me 100-130 miles range in rwd model 3. Im not a dumbass so i dont sit there for longer when its going to just charge slower.

This is the way commercial and professional drivers are taught to park and exit for that exact reason.
And also why automating parking systems generally back into spots to park.
Yes, majority of people park head in when they go into their garage or parking lot and have to back out later. Even if you back into a spot, you have to back in at some point.
This option is very common and essentially every manufacturer use it on some of their cars except tesla.
