I really don't need one of these. I'm not even sure I want one of these, but every time it pops up, I'm so tempted.

FYI my experience with these is that the unplugged acoustic sound is pretty flat and lifeless compared to a full thickness dreadnought or grand auditorium body. These are good if you will primarily play plugged in and like a thinner / slimmer neck compared to a traditional acoustic. The price is pretty slick however.

I've pulled the trigger on a few of these types of guitars only to be sorely disappointed. I need to face it - they are not competing against a Martin, Taylor, Gibson, Takamine, et al. acoustic. They are indeed excellent beginner guitars or great beaters.

These have had some quality issues with the bridge snapping off. At this price I guess it would be hard to complain, quality of these seems to have been a mixed bag.

Take this guitar to a weekend camp out with all your friends. On the last night after the last song you play, throw it in the fire and watch them all cheer.

I will second this. The acoustic sound is pretty uninspiring, but this is good price for a beater guitar that has an easy-playing neck.

I'm always shocked by how cheap guitars are. Zero inflation from the 90s. Even a cheap thin sounding plastic back Applause acoustic electric sold for $250 over 20 yrs ago and this Ibanez is probably better.

Oh my God. I just made one of the worst mistakes of my life. I was going to make a comment about how much I miss my Kramer Ferrington that I paid $60 for, and my Scholz Rockman XP100 that I paid $125 for, and that I made so much money when I sold each of them.

Here's the mistake. I looked up what they are selling for now.

I gotta say, though, that the Ferrington sounded like an actual banjo when pumped through a chorus and the XP100

I think it's mainly due to more effective/efficient guitar factories that allow inexpensive yet very playable guitars to be mass-produced.

Any word on when this deal is ending?. I got an old electric acoustic guitar from a friend and when I plug it into rocksmith 2014, it has a buzzing sound, where my electric guitar doesn't do that.
I need to see if I can fix that but don't want to miss out on this deal.

No idea when the deal will end, but it is has popped up a few times in the last sixth months, but the first thing to try with your old electric acoustic guitar is replacing the battery with a new one.

Acoustic Electric guitars have batteries? Basically I can plug in my "realtone" USB to guitar cable into my electric guitar and it is completely quiet, but my acoustic electric has buzzing.
I never knew that acoustic electric guitars even had batteries but sure enough, I pulled out the area that had the dials and found a 9 volt that expired in 2011... I'll get a new 9 volt and test that tomorrow.
