No hood on the Walmart model just a hard cover.
got now the sam sclub stainless steel one in use for 6 months ( everyday use ) no rust better to clean due its stainless steel instead of painted iron/steel like the Blackstone ones. no rust no griddle bent.
also 399 at sams club
