Thank you, finally ordered one. A friend of mine has been talking about how great it is, my very impatient self was turned off by the idea of prepping ice cream, then having to wait a day to enjoy it (I'm used to just blending ice cream like protein ice cream and eating it asap). Now that I understand how these work, I couldn't find it in stock so I purchased now. I'm gonna have to purchase multiple containers now.

Do you add anything to the greek yogurt? Turning greek yogurt into froyo is the primary reason I'm considering buying it - husband and I love froyo but I want a healthier (lower cal, better ingredients) version.
join the facebook group for lots of new ideas. i get my froyo from aldi's, the strawberry or vanilla 2 pints for $3.50 is a pretty good deal. i blend it on 'ice cream' once, then add some milk, and blend again... makes it really smooth

Anyone here own a straight-up Ice Cream maker of 'good' quality that can compare to this machine? Intrigued by the extra features. Didn't know I wanted something more versatile until I started looking at this.
They are entyirely different. A traditional ice cream machine cools down your base while minimizing ice crystals and fluffing it up with air. This machine doesn't actually make "ice cream" instead it takes ice and pulverizes it down into an ice cream like texture (You' probably need to respin it at least once to get it to an enjoyable consistency.
The big advantage of this one is that if you pre-make your base and freeze it for over 24 hours, this can get the job done in @5 minutes.
Honestly, I just want one because after watching the movie The Menu Pacojets are very cool! lol

Where you been able to do non dairy based/low card/fat non icy consistency in you're ice cream maker? Because I have one as well, and I have been doing lot of twists and different recipes but can't get consistency as store ice creams and definitely it hard as rock when I freeze it.I just give up using my 300$ ice cream maker with compressor…
I've made great Non fat ice creams in mine, but you can't freeze them over night and expect them to be good. But since they are under 500 calories for a few pints worth you can eat it all!

no kidding. My grocery store sells ice cream. or can make it in the old timey crank or electric imakers for about $25
People aren't buying this to make regular ice cream. They're buying it if they want more control over how much added sugar they use or the potential to use alternative sweetening sources.

If all you want is regular ice cream in the popular flavors, you're right. Just buy it at the grocery store.

I don't have the deluxe but the original was on sale last year around Christmastime for about $100 somewhere and I don't regret the purchase one bit.

Ninja is terrible with their naming conventions and model numbers so I just want to clarify and see if anyone has any recommendations on pint containers. I should be looking for NC500 model containers, but do others fit in this as well? Any Amazon recommendations? Any advice would be sincerely appreciated, if not I'll just take a shot and hope for the best.

No, only the nc500 ones will fit the deluxe model. I bought these but they're back ordered so I haven't received them yet.

Thank you so much. Waiting sucks lol. I was truly caught off guard with how popular this thing got. The machine goes in and out of stock and now the pints. Again, thank you both for the fast reply, have a fantastic weekend.
