Like the earliest Esquire models, the 70th Anniversary Esquire features a pine body - a lightweight wood known for punchy and complex tone - and upgrades it with our roasting treatment, greatly improving the resonance of the body. I agree. It has something to do with the way color of the maple neck compliments the blue body, and how the white of the pick guard works with those colors. Nice color combination.
But it's a matter of taste, of course.
Edit: My mistake, this is an Esquire, whatever that is.
