I don't know what it is - I generally hate Lake Placid Blue, but it looks so good on Teles/Esquires.

Good deal on this one.

I agree. It has something to do with the way color of the maple neck compliments the blue body, and how the white of the pick guard works with those colors. Nice color combination.

But it's a matter of taste, of course.

I'm sure it's mia but who cares? Who would pay 2k for this? Just change the guard on one of the dozens of teles you already have. I guess if it was relicced maybe. But it just looks like a goofy Tele and it's too new looking to have any kind of retro feel. I just don't get this one.

I'd be interested in buying a Tele but $1500 is a tough sell in general, much less for one with a single pickup.

Edit: My mistake, this is an Esquire, whatever that is.

I don't get buying new instruments made to look old. Different Strokes for different folks.

The single pickup makes it an esquire.

it's the first solid-body guitar Fender made. it also led to the Tele.

Only one pickup? For this kind of money you can get a full featured American Telecaster.

A really poor investment. I can't imagine any paying this price let alone the MSRP. Seems like $500-600 would fit a non-USA "sort of" telecaster.
