i wonder if the recent one is because new games are now 69.99 , so they were like ":hell no, were not shipping them for free, make the customer buy something else " lol

Plus the GME stock price is going up today.
Because there is literally no reason for Gamestop to exist any more. Their entire business model was buying used games and reselling them, when they were stopped from doing that they instantly became the new Blockbuster. Gamestop is running on fumes right now, their days are absolutely numbered.
What happened to Bed, Bath & Beyond? Was it bad management or people started ordering from online only?
They've turned into a discount store that buys up nerd merch that doesn't sell in bulk then flip it, and they've turned into an electronics boutique that buys up consoles and other electronics in bulk to distribute. Their stock has been fluctuating between $20 and $30 for a while now, and they've turned into what's perceived as a safe investment to the layperson as well.
As long as they can just stay even, they're actually in a pretty decent spot. Unlike most companies that need to always grow to make their shareholders happy, I think GameStop is in a position where they could just maintain the status quo for a long time and remain in a good place.
I guess meme king might come back to save them again.

Regarding GS and online marketplace, they should have championed Xbox One digital game system as that would have ushered in digital game trade-in and kept them relevant. Instead they decided to go for short term gain over long term relevance.
Anyhow don't see how a GS online games marketplace is going to change their business fortunes.
You're right. Every other store I always order an OLED and a pack of pens, so I only pay for the pens.
If you add 2 x $30 items and 2 x $5 items, it's making the 2 x $5 items free and not 1 x $30 and 1 x $5 free, like it's supposed to be. ;-)
