I purchased this and it is really nicely made. We stained it a light stain before putting it together and I love it.

Really depends on the tools you own, your access to pressure treated lumber, and how much you value your time.

I'm a woodworker hobbyist (although it has been a long time since I made anything) and I often buy something pre-made rather than do it myself since the amount of time and space required to do it myself is a far greater cost than just buying something that needs assembly.

Good deal. Pressure treated pine. Description also says the table top is unfinished so not quite sure if that means the frame is/isn't finished.

Would this be good to use as a table for bbq? Cutting, prep, etc?

I wouldn't cut directly on it.

Probably about the same or more than the deal price depending on location and lumber prices. Factor in hardware and lumber costs and you'd be hard pressed to build this for less than $85.

Depends on your use. Furniture - use polyurethane or tung oil. Potter - any left over decker sealer

I just assembled mine last night. This thing is solid and has a high build quality. The back has the option to be up or down. I put my small Q2000 BBQ on it and it just opens all the way if you have the BBQ held toward the front.

Assembly took maybe 15-20min.

I'm wondering the same thing. This could be great next to a grill setup.

Does the back side only sit vertically? Either completely down or completely up? I'm wondering if you could make it sit horizontally and thus make it a larger table in a sense.

I was wondering the same thing, instructions indicate that you have to pick a permanent position when assembling. Could always switch it up later, but it's not on a hinge or adjustable from what I can tell.

Yeah, I agree. Based one some of the pictures, it looks like it's either all the way up or all the way down.
