I have a Legion 7. It does the job for both buuut at 5.5lb it can be a pain and annoying to carry. If you plan on being portable, I suggest going smaller than this. If you drive everywhere, it's negligible.

Well I just RMA a brand new purchase of prior gen. Never even had a chance to game on it as it already had thermal damaged on gpu causing blue screen death crashes

Wow the cheapest 4080 I've seen. Would assume it's still the full 175w tgp that's in the model with 13900hx cpu since there doesn't seem to be info on that.

Giving up options for per key rgb keyboard with optical switches and the higher end 13900hx cpu but saving hundreds.

I bought this and I regret it. No 10 key. System always throttling. No advanced settings in bios. Like it's not terrible, just not worth 2k imo.

I fired up red dead redemption 2 and the test didn't even keep up to 60 fps on high settings

Sounds like 1) you didn't do your own research on 10 key and 2) user error on fps

No, I compromised on 10 key because I I thought it would still be a good choice.
