Stop posting stupid FUD. This drive does have DRAM. It's all over the damn product description and in the specs on Team's site.

DRAM Cache: YES

Yes. And it's pretty clear in the product description right at the top.

It is double sided. Two NAND packages on the back toward the screw end. Interestingly, even the 1TB model is double sided. I hadn't noticed until I looked at both to confirm.

Fairly certain this is a double sided stick. Can anyone comment on heat? Would be using this in an LG Gram so it will be a snug fit. Doubtful there is sufficient space for a heatsink. Projected use will be a system drive, no heavy file transfers after initial load.

Should not be an issue if no heavy use. Will throttle if needed, but the key thing is that it actually physically fits into the slot!

Be careful with external enclosures that include non-removable screw posts for smaller size NVMe drives. Tightening the screw will cause some flex on the end of the SSD as the screw posts don't allow this drive to sit flush. I backed off the screw some to prevent damage, but it is not fully secured.

It seems that some external enclosures aren't build well for double-sided NVMe drives.

For reference, this is the enclosure I got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1VBQ4K8

I am thinking about buying this for my LG Gram 17 as well. Going to use this as the main drive since it is supposed to have DRAM (though not sure about this based on some reviews and comments). I am also going to buy a 2nd 4TB drive for write once and store data. Thinking of the Crucial P3 for that. Gen 3 NVMes are fast enough for me. Don't want Gen 4 as they run hotter.

Can someone help me with the difference between gen3 and gen4? Gen 3 is certainly cheaper, what are its drawbacks? Thanks in advance!

Gen 4 can use a faster memory bus.

Whether your computer can use it is another issue.

And the better Gen 3 drives are as fast as the slower Gen 4 drives.

For the most part you won't notice a difference. PlayStation does require a Gen 4 drive though.

Main difference is just faster sequential reads/writes (think copying large video files) for Gen 4 drives. If you're not doing that, go Gen 3 to save some money.

Peak speed. PCIe 3 can support half the speed PCIe 4.

Really you are going to get most of the benefits of a gee-wiz PCIe 4 drive on a PCIe 2 slot as PCIe 4 drives generally have faster controllers that do things when the drive is operating far below peak speed conditions.
