Not a bad deal... Just seems to be a bit bulky and heavy at over 10lbs for just a monitor with no battery. I have an 9-year-old Sony Vaio AIO 21 inch that is practically the same thickness and weight, also wireless with a battery. I refreshed it a couple years ago with 8GB of Ram and an SSD and it is still running surprisingly well. Not sure why those large table AIOs never caught on... Dell made one about the same size that was under 5lbs.

I travel a lot, think this (or something similar) would make for a decent extended desktop for hotel room use?

I just bought a portable monitor and looked into this in case I wanted to return it. I don't think this is good for travel monitor it weighs around 10 pounds and seems like it needs to have its own power source. Get one where the signal and power comes from the laptop via usb
