this one and another eco system or get a ryobi polesaw which i have batteries for?
Wouldn't grab this. 2.0 Ah battery in a polesaw won't run very long. If you're trimming at home, you're probably better off with an electric. If you definitely need cordless, I would go with the Ryobi if you already have the batteries.

I know this website for several months already, but I never register. Today, I go ahead register, so I could write my opinion why I brought this Kobalt pole saw.
I already owns many Dewalt and Ryobi power tools and batteries. But I still choose this Kobalt pole saw. Here why:
First, price only $99. It's cheaper than Ryobi tool only for right now is $130 and Dewalt $179 I saw Craftman also sale $99 at Lowes, but Craftman pole saw doesn't have AUTOMATIC CHAIN LUBRICATION. So Craftman, you have to manual oil very frequently in order to use it.
I know the Kobalt come with 2Ah battery only. But it's stating "Up to 110 CUTS on 2x4-in pine per charge" I think that enough for myself home use. Because I only cut few branches. So 110 CUTS, that is enough. I don't want to paid more for Dewalt or Ryobi, when I only use once for 2 or 3 year. I don't want to use ELECTRIC one, because the CORD is so inconvenience.
Kobalt comes with 5 yrs warranty. I saw some video preview of Kobalt on Youtube in action. I feel confidence with Kobalt.
I bought the 40v version of this about a year ago. As anemic as the 40v version is, I can only imagine trying to cut anything with the 24v version! Do yourself a favor and pass this one by.
